Save the Date: RE/MAX Alliance 20th Annual Golf Tournament – September 12th, 2013

RE/MAX Alliance committee members met last week to discuss the details of this year’s 20th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Tournament and Silent and Live Auction. With much enthusiasm, the committee discussion was lead by RE/MAX Alliance’s vice president and Children’s Miracle network ambassador, Kim Hawkins, who has headed this fantastic fundraiser for over ten years. When asked about the charity event, she commented on the fact that “every single person on the committee works really hard and is committed to its success!”  Over the last year 7 years, RE/MAX Alliance has raised over $400,000, which directly benefits the children, and families of children who are sick and injured at the Colorado Children’s Hospital.  

This year’s south Denver Children’s Miracle Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at the prestigious Inverness Hotel & Conference Center located  in Englewood, Colorado.  There will also be a northern Colorado tournament held in Fort Collins on July 15th, 2013.  In celebration of the tournaments’ 20th anniversary, RE/MAX Alliance is focused on making these our biggest events yet, with ambitions of bringing in $100,000 between the two for the cause.   

The Metro Denver tournament will start in the early afternoon, on the beautiful 18 hole private course, followed by a dinner buffet and live/silent auction.  Tournament players will receive box lunches, as well as goody bags for participating.  Dinner and the live auction are open to anyone who wants to participate, even if they do not play golf!  Tickets for this tournament are $140 per player and include dinner. Individual dinner tickets can be purchased for $20 per person…and everyone is welcome!

Each year the live auction portion of the Golf Tournament is responsible for bringing in roughly $18,000 in funds, thanks to the generous contributions from local and national companies.  These donations make it possible for the Children Hospital of Colorado to provide much needed care and compassion for children and their families during some of their most dire times.  If you have never spent a night worrying about your child, you are lucky, and for those who are all too familiar with that plight, the Children’s Miracle Network is there for them.  They provide an environment where children can feel and act like children despite their ailments, and a place where parents can rest assured that their child will receive the best care possible, regardless of their ability to pay medical bills.
