Supporting the Communities We Call Home

In past blogs, I have talked to you about the importance RE/MAX Alliance puts on being a supportive force in the communities we are fortunate enough to call home. Though our “Miracle Maker Homes” and “Homes for the Cure” programs, we aim to give back and contribute to some of the people who mean the most to us in our lives, our mothers and our children!  In addition to these two franchise-wide programs, RE/MAX Alliance also believes strongly that if you can make a difference on any level you should, whether it is helping build a playground, raising money for a coworker who has been diagnosed with an illness, or manning the phones at a telethon, we believe in helping!  Of course, the majority of the credit for these kinds of programs and everyday efforts must be passed along to individual RE/MAX Alliance agents and the teams of staff that make it all possible.  With that being said, we would like to share with you some information about a few RE/MAX Alliance charitable works and fun family events that have recently come to light.

The Wooden Shoe’s Fall into Fun Day – Last Friday, Amber Panck with RE/MAX Alliance Westminster, Andrea Kvamme with Land Title and Ashley Pratt with SWBC Mortgage hosted their Wooden Shoe’s “Fall into Fun Day” 3rd annual event.  This wonderful opportunity took place at a local preschool called the Wooden Shoe and truly made the day for some very lucky boys and girls!  The kiddos at Wooden Shoe had a blast getting their RE/MAX Tattoos, taking rides in the RE/MAX Hot Air balloon, getting their faces painted, drinking juice boxes and eating yummy donuts with sprinkles! The Wooden Shoe is a wonderful preschool located just down the road from the RE/MAX Alliance Westminster office and is where some of the sponsors’ children have attended.  Highly recommend throughout the community because of their top notch teachers and staff, the main goal of this event is to show the Wooden Shoe how much the members of the community appreciate their contribution to the City of Westminster’s children.

RE/MAX Alliance Flood Relief Effort – This program was just announced earlier this week and will help raise funds to support Boulder High School and Crest View Elementary School, which are two of the schools hit the hardest in the 2013 Colorado Flood. RE/MAX Alliance will match up to $5,000 for each school of any donations collected. The flood was an unprecedented event, but not something that will bring the Boulder community down!  We support Boulder, so please show you do too by considering a donation to this program.  See the flyer below for more details about how to make a donation to the RE/MAX Alliance Flood Relief Effort.

20th Annual RE/MAX Alliance Children’s Miracle Network Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction –  This event was unfortunately cancelled due to the 2013 Colorado Flood, but luckily for us the amazing Inverness Hotel and Golf Resort has provided us with a new date! PLEASE JOIN US on October 1st, 2013 for this wonderful event.  All the proceeds will go directly to the Children’s Miracle Network and benefit the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.  It is not too late to register to play golf, go online to bid, or buy tickets for dinner, so if you are a person who believes that Colorado’s children are the future of this great state, we hope you will consider sharing this wonderful experience with us!!!

The Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park Dedication – Jessica Ridgeway is a little girl whose tragic end to life changed the lives of Westminster, Colorado residents forever.  RE/MAX Alliance as a corporation has taken a whole-hearted interest in this cause and has continued to support the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Foundation in its effort to memorialize the sweet child who will forever be remembered as Westminster’s little girl.  Along with Y.A.N.G., our Young Alliance Networking Group, we are hoping to have a huge turnout for the Jessica Ridgeway Park Memorial event on October 5th, 2013 at 10 am.
