Thanks to All Who Participated, Alice 105.9 36 Hours for Kids was a Huge Success!

This year’s Alice 105.9’s 36 Hours for Kids was another hugely successful event thanks to the contributions made by tons of Colorado citizens benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network and hospitals. RE/MAX Alliance has proudly been a supporter of this event since its inception some 13 years ago and we typically have over 60 volunteers who answer phones over the two day period.

This year we had a great turnout of RE/MAX Alliance agents, staff, and associates including people from our Fort Collins, Greeley, Arvada, Central, Parker, Westminster, Aurora, Boulder, and DTC offices, as well as folks from our Relocation, Alliance Insurance, and Home Mortgage Alliance divisions. Also a large chunk of our YANG – Young Alliance Networking Group made up a new exciting addition to our group of volunteers this year, as well as did the special appearance from RE/MAX Alliance franchise owner, Chad Ochsner.

The shifts we fill for the Radiothon are wicked early, which is why we want to especially thank everyone who took the time out of their busy schedule to help support the children and families in our community who need it the most. Despite the effort it takes to work an event like this into their schedules, most folks like Abby Springer from our central office, were ecstatic about participating and are already looking forward to next year’s event.

In a recent conversation with Amber Panck and Colin Stok, board members and leaders of YANG, both expressed how thrilled they were to have participated this year as well. Amber Panck said that this event really touched home when she thinks back to all the times she herself has had visited the Children’s Hospital for one of her kids, so she really can relate. She also said that giving two hours of her time was nothing in comparison to what the hospital and doctors do for families, and that she could not have been happier to be part of a group effort that collected roughly 1.78 million dollars for this cause.

Colin Stok noted how exciting everything got around the last half an hour of their shift and remarked on how children and families passing by were all smiling as they looked on the group occupying the lobby.  Being Miracle Makers themselves, both YANG members felt that this philanthropic event was a great opportunity for YANG’s members to be part of, as well as a great way to for their networking group to be recognized among other movers and shakers within RE/MAX Alliance.

Amber also noted that the highlight of this year’s Alice 105.9’s 36 Hours for Kids was when an anonymous caller upped the ante by tripling everyone’s donation who called to make the standard $15 contribution, which was the first time that has happened in the history of the Radiothon. The power to help a child in need living in our own community is in us all and so super simple. If you want to learn more about making a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network, just click here.
