This Giving Season, Build a New Story
What could be more satisfying than settling happily into your very own dream home this holiday season? How about helping those who have never even dared dream of having a home of their own settle into one?
New Story, a non-profit with a dream bigger than one home; a dream of thousands of homes in communities so poor a house to live in might not have ever made their wish list, has spent the last two years building communities in places devastated by natural disasters. Haiti, El Salvador and Bolivia are just the start, as New Story works to change lives in these and other poverty stricken places around the world. The dream is to give families access to clean water, sanitation, power and most importantly, a home for family members to safely gather together.
“We’ve always been proud of making a difference in the life of children and families in our local communities” said Chad Ochsner, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Alliance in Colorado at the annual Thanksgiving Event held this past November. RE/MAX Alliance, well known for its support of Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Hospital of Denver, announced a new partnership.
“Now…we have the opportunity to help children and communities that need support in another part of the world as well” Mr. Ochsner shared. “Everything starts with a home and by training local labor and buying locally sourced construction materials, these homes will help stimulate local economies and teach skills in the process.”
Planning new communities to help families thrive after natural disastersNew Story hopes to unlock the potential these communities need to thrive by providing the safety and consistency having a home can offer.
Charity begins at home, and the years of providing for our local children has inspired us to reach out and provide for those beyond our own borders. We hope you’ll agree and join us in supporting New Story as they support the hopes and dreams of countless families around the world.
