THE “WOW!” IN WESTMINSTER

Driving from Denver and heading toward Boulder you may catch a few signs of life just off US highway 36.  Following that meandering border, that glimpse you catch off the side of 36 is actually a full blown and very lively city known as Westminster.  While a search for gold is part of its past, as it is with most Colorado towns, the lack of gold shouldn’t be a deterrent, since this bustling place has plenty of reasons to recommend it as a permanent destination for settling down.

Majestic views of the stately Rocky Mountain range, tons of walking and biking trails, parks and open space, this almost perfect blend of city and suburb offers amenities as good as gold to those who explore here.  Gold standard residential neighborhoods, mix of condo complexes, fabulous shopping opportunities and one thing most people really crave:

A GOLD STANDARD SWIFT COMMUTE TO EVERYWHERE IN METRO DENVER AND INTO THE FOOTHILLS!

Words used most often to describe Westminster are awesome amenities.  This place has a glorious blend of just about anything you could wish for in a place to call home.

Eateries abound insisting taste bud boredom can only occur if you refuse to explore the myriad of choices that exist!  Ethnic options overflow including Indian, Japanese, Korean, Mexican and more exotic dining alongside Colorado favorites.  You only need to leave town to eat if you choose to!

When the work week closes, the fun is waiting, with plenty of choices for outdoor and indoor activities.  Community pools, skate parks, ice skating rinks, sports fields, disc golf, walking trails, world class golf courses – just listing them all is tiring!  Indoors?  How about Madcap Improv for a good belly laugh, or a leisurely stroll through the Butterfly Pavillion?  Discover your new favorite activity HERE.

Big on annual events, there’s the Westy Fest, Jazz & Arts Fest and of course the Adams County Fair that attracts visitors to the city year after year.  In season, you won’t want to miss the Farmers Market.

A quiet attraction that has become part of the landscape is the Westminster Castle, built in 1891 with an eye toward growing a university here, and today operates as a religious school.

One of the most pet friendly places in the Metro area according to its residents, that and the stable real estate market presents an attractive choice to buy a home and stay forever.  This may be part of the reason that Westminster, home to over 112,000, is one of the more populated cities in the Metro area.  While the rest of America rates a livability score on average of 66, Colorado in whole being at 65, Westminster enjoys a score of 71.

Westminster; a small city with a big heart.
