Please join RE/MAX Alliance in supporting the American Red Cross as they continue to provide services for those who have been affected by the wildfires in Colorado.

The winter storm that has rolled into Colorado Sunday October 25 has brought much needed moisture to Colorado. The two biggest wildfires in Colorado history, the Cameron Peak Fire and The East Troublesome Fire have been dampened by the weather, and diminished in the short term, but as the area dries out, fire activity could increase again.

The American Red Cross has been involved in these fires for the past few months. (The Cameron Peak fire has been burning since August 13.) The Red Cross is currently sheltering over 1,900 people in hundreds of hotel rooms, in 23 hotels around the state. Alongside community partners, the Red Cross has served over 23,000 meals. The American Red Cross has made 1,334 disaster health contacts, 487 disaster mental health contacts and 31 disability integration contacts. So far 187 disaster workers have deployed both on the ground and in person to provide support for those impacted by both fires.
