Please join RE/MAX Alliance in supporting the American Red Cross as they continue to provide services for those who have been affected by the wildfires in Colorado, including the two largest in state history: The Cameron Peak Fire and the East Troublesome Fire.

They have been involved in these fires for months! The Red Cross was at one time sheltering close to 3,000 people a night in hundreds of hotel rooms around the state. Alongside community partners, the Red Cross has served over 30,000 meals. The American Red Cross has made over 2,800 disaster health contacts, over 900 disaster mental health contacts and 35 disability integration contacts. Over 250 disaster workers have deployed both on the ground and virtually to provide support for those impacted by both fires. Check out one volunteer’s story in this 9 news feature.

As we continue to provide food, shelter and comfort for those affected by Colorado Wildfires, the American Red Cross is starting an effort to get emergency financial assistance into the hands of Colorado residents whose homes were severely impacted. Thanks to our generous donors, the Red Cross will provide $450 to households whose homes were confirmed to have been destroyed or sustained major damage from September 2020 Colorado Wildfires and need help taking care of emergency needs. Most people whose homes were destroyed or sustained major damage from these wildfires will be contacted directly through an email, text message or phone call directly from the Red Cross over the next several weeks. All Red Cross services, including financial assistance, are available to individuals regardless of nationality, race, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. Red Cross financial assistance is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.
