Your 2024 Front Range Bucket List

As we kick off the new year, having more fun should be a goal! With jam-packed schedules and tighter wallets for travel, we Coloradans are truly lucky to have incredible destinations right in our own backyard (or just a short drive down I-25). So why not spice up your 12-month bucket list with these awesome activities and charming towns? It’s a fantastic way to show love to our local communities and create a memorable 2024!
FORT COLLINS – BREWING COMPANIES & 80S NOSTALGIA
As Colorado’s Craft Beer Capital, you can sample some of the world’s best microbreweries. New Belgium Brewing and Odell Brewing Company are the classics. New Belgium Brewing even offers a craft brew tour. On weekends their huge yard is a popular hangout with food trucks.
For a more local vibe, visit Intersect Brewing and Maxline Brewing. They host live music and special events. The list goes on…Black Bottle Brewery, Zwei Brewing, and Coopersmith’s Pub – even Anheuser-Busch has a massive branch in Fort Collins.
While You’re There: Enjoy the charming downtown, Cache La Poudre River, or Totally 80’s Pizza & Museum.
BOULDER – THE FLATIRONS & TEA ANYONE?
Perhaps the Front Range’s most iconic playground, the Flatirons’ rock walls beckon beginner and professional climbers alike. Coloradans started scaling the formations in the 1940s. Or you can enjoy the majestic views hiking the trails for a stroll or an endurance-building run.
While You’re There: Take a tour of Celestial Seasoning’s Tea Company, walk/bike/tube along the Boulder Creek, and spend an evening on Pearl Street.
GOLDEN – LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN & HIDDEN GEMS
Speaking of adrenaline-pumping activities, biking Lookout will earn you bragging rights. With the 1,217-foot climb over 4.6 miles at a steady 5% incline, you will be a true Coloradan road warrior.
While You’re There: Explore hidden gems at the Mines Museum of Earth Science, visit Coors Brewing Company, stretch your legs along the Clear Creek Trail, and explore the western style downtown.
DENVER – UNION STATION & THEATER
Located right downtown, the 100-year-old landmark has been renovated into an upscale must-visit hub. The Great Hall offers great shopping, local Colorado chefs offer award-winning dining, and the historic Crawford hotel embodies the magic of Denver.
While You’re There: Venture through the iconic Botanic Gardens, loop the entire metro area on the Lightrail, or catch a show at Denver Performing Arts Complex.
MORRISON – RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATER
Of course, our world-famous concert venue is a favorite for artists like U2, Widespread Panic, James Taylor, 311, The Eagles, and Coldplay. Before catching a show that night, you can walk the trails (deer sightings are frequent), run the amphitheater’s stairs, and tour the Red Rocks Music Hall of Fame.
While You’re There: Check out the local shops and eateries on Morrison’s main drag or walk the Bear Creek trail.
SOUTH METRO CORRIDOR – FOOTHILLS & SKYDIVING
Fun is to be had throughout the foothill communities dotting C-470. From exploring Roxborough State Park to paddle boating and biking Chatfield State Park, or strolling through Denver Botanic Gardens’ Chatfield Farms.
While You’re There: Go indoor skydiving at iFLY in Lone Tree and then grab a pint at Littleton’s iconic Breckenridge Brewery Farmhouse or Grist Brew Company in Highlands Ranch.
DOUGLAS COUNTY – ZIPLINING
Get ready for an adrenaline rush like no other along the Front Range! The EDGE Ziplines & Adventures is one of Colorado’s favorite adventure parks. Experience epic fun with ziplines, the ninja course, and sky trek with friends and family!
While You’re There: Do some epic shopping at the Outlets of Castle Rock, catch a show at Parker’s Arts Center, and finish the day at Purgatory Cellars & Winery.
