Longmont Youth Symphony – Making Music at the Festival on Main

This past Friday, the Longmont Youth Symphony set up shop in front of our RE/MAX Alliance Longmont office for the city’s 13th annual end of summer event, called the Festival on Main.  This event saw some 18,000 people come through the historic district and is the city’s most popular event. Offering great exposure to this wonderful organization, RE/MAX Alliance could not have been happier to help out and join in the fun of the Longmont Youth Symphony’s musical instrument petting zoo!

The Longmont Youth Symphony is one of the best youth orchestras in the state, which is located in Longmont, Colorado. Providing a valuable resource to the St. Vrain Valley and surrounding areas, the Longmont Youth Symphony helps to further develop the classical talents of local kids.  Through leadership and guidance, the group is also dedicated to showing symphony members that their talents are helping to entertain, educate and expand musical appreciation in our community. In addition to some of their more advanced programs, they also have ones for younger musicians which include their String and Wind Ensembles, as well as retreat opportunities for all ages. The symphony puts on several concerts every year, some of which are played alongside of the prestigious Longmont and Boulder Symphonies.

Here are a few of the upcoming concerts for this Fall:

October 20th, 2013 – Longmont Youth Symphony Fall Concert

October 26th, 2013 – Side-by-Side Concert with Boulder Symphony Orchestra

November 16th, 2013 – Notes and Noodles
