National Western Stock Show
Going on now through the 26th of January, right in the heart of Denver, Colorado is the National Western Stock Show. This world recognized 16 day event is one of the biggest to hit the city each year and brings with it a ton of opportunities for fun and entertainment! Join them and explore everything that is wonderful about the western culture with their competitive Rodeos, horse shows, livestock shows and tons of other special events like dog competitions and a western art market. Highlighted Rodeos:
- Pro Rodeo – Come cheer on all of rodeo’s biggest superstars!
- Military Appreciation Night – Special night dedicated to past and present Armed Forces. Be sure to wear your Red, White & Blue!
- Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza – 20th Anniversary features Mexican style bull riding, bareback riding, trick roping and Mariachis!
- Denver Chute-Out PBR Touring Pro Finale – A true rough and tumble event this competition is a spectator favorite!
- MLK Jr. African-American Heritage Rodeo – Explore African American cowboy roots with several traditional rodeo events.
- Pink Rodeo – This special rodeo will help to help raise money for breast cancer research so don’t forget to wear your pink!
Horse Show Highlights:
- An Evening of Dancing Horses – This event really is spectacular with formal costumes, freestyle reining, and the choreographed music of the Denver Brass.

- $40,000 Grand Prix – There is no better jumping competition than the Grand Prix!
- Wild West Show – This event will take you right back to the time of Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley and Calamity Jane!
Renowned as a premier equine venue, the National Western Stock Show features the top-five American Quarter Horse shows, as well as several US Equestrian Federation approved shows for hunters and jumpers, and an open division. In addition, the National Western Stock Show is also one of the World’s Largest Cattle Shows and features nearly 20 breeds of cattle over the entire 16-day event!
