How to Buy a Home You’ll LOVE to Live In

As Real Estate agents, where people live is always on our minds. I started thinking about how this translates to the process of practicing real estate; not only in selling a home to people but in the search for that perfect home.
I let my thoughts about “Live in a place you love” continue to wander down whatever path they might wander……What is it about the places we live make us love them?
I started thinking that if I could create a community I would really love to live in, what would it look like? Would that be more important to me than if the home available for me to purchase was absolutely perfect? Would I be willing to make a trade off or two?
I began thinking about how this idea might apply to home buyers in this market.
LIVE IN A PLACE YOU LOVE
Suppose there was a NEED to live in less than your dream location because of work or family obligations? Then certainly, coming home to a house you love would take on greater significance. Or it could be that a one-room shack shared with someone you love would be a palace to you.
I realized that living in a place you love can mean very different things to each individual. The picture might be much bigger than just the actual house we choose, or the neighborhood we choose to live in. Love is subjective. It might be one tiny detail about the property that made you fall in love, or the layout of the space and how you pickture your family in it.
That’s one of the most wonderful things about real estate. It isn’t really just about the structures. It really is all about the people. The memories made and the lives they live inside those structures.
As real estate agents, we don’t actually sell houses or sell land. It’s all about helping people find a place to live out their hopes and dreams. It’s a great career and most of us can’t imagine doing anything else. Ready for a place you’ll love to live? Find a local RE/MAX Alliance agent now.
