It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is just around the corner – our unofficial end of summer! If you’re not traveling or camping that weekend, plenty of exciting events are still happening in your area. The Front Range always has a variety of events to choose from for you and your family and friends. Here are some special festivities:
NORTHERN COLORADO
Windsor Harvest Festival
Saturday, Sept. 5 – Monday, Sept. 7 | Parks throughout Windsor
This community tradition draws over 30,000 attendees every year. Events include a downtown parade, car show, balloon rally, fireworks, live music, carnival rides, and food vendors throughout town.
Ride the Fort Collins Trolley
Saturday, Sept. 5 – Sunday, Sept. 6 | Downtown Fort Collins
Hop aboard a fully restored 1919 trolley for free rides around downtown. Listen for the double chime and enjoy a step back in time. You can board at the Trolley Depot in City Park or at Howes and Mountain Avenues.
Estes Park Labor Day Arts & Crafts Show
Saturday, Sept. 5 – Monday, Sept. 7 | Bond Park (170 MacGregor Avenue)
Free outdoor festival, featuring more than 90 juried artists, live music, delicious food trucks, and a fun-filled children’s activity tent.
BOULDER COUNTY
Shelby American Car Show
Saturday, Sept. 5 | 5020 Chaparral Court, Boulder
Gearheads and casual car lovers alike will enjoy this showcase of Shelby vehicles, live music, food, and meet-and-greets with famous drivers and designers. (Tickets required)
Labor Day Kids’ Pet Parade
Monday, Sept. 7 | Main Street (south of City Hall), Louisville
A favorite for families, this charming parade welcomes all pets, from dogs to goats, and is open to kids 12 and under. Don’t forget to register in advance!
Louisville Parade & Fall Festival
Monday, Sept. 7 | Memory Square Park, Louisville
Celebrate the season with handmade crafts, food vendors, a petting zoo, and music from The Bantham House.
METRO DENVER + SOUTH METRO
Concerts on the Fly at Denver International Airport
Sunday, Sept. 6 | DEN Plaza, The Westin Hotel
Enjoy a free afternoon of live music with national and local artists. Grab food and drinks while relaxing in a fun outdoor setting. Free for all ages, but advance registration is required.
Street Rodders for Life Charity Car Show
Monday, Sept. 7 | Applebee’s, Lakewood, CO
Enjoy local food trucks, specialty vendors, and live entertainment, all while supporting a great cause, with proceeds benefiting children’s health foundations and local families in need.
Labor Day Half Marathon
Monday, Sept. 7 | Salisbury Equestrian Park, Parker
